Today I am thankful for men like Martin Luther, John Calvin, John, Huss, John Wycliffe, and others, who stood up for the Bible so many years ago. On this day, October 31st, in 1517, Martin Luther wrote the 95 Theses.
This letter was intended not to confront the Catholic Church, just to object to some of their practices, mainly the selling of indulgences. Luther objected to this practice, as the granting of forgiveness is God's alone, not man's. The Catholic church responded with a Counter Reformation, led by the Jesuit order, stating that Luther was the one in error. Sadly, warfare broke out.
I will always declare Sola Scriptura!
If you haven't researched the Protestant Reformation, I highly recommend that you do. If you don't know where the protestant faith came from, then how do you know what you are protesting?
About a month or so ago, I left Facebook (again). This time for real though. I actually deleted my account. Something I was unaware could be done, but it can. I had to wait two weeks before it was finalized though. I guess they hope that you change your mind and come back. Well, I didn't. A month free from my personal Facebook page, and I feel at peace. I think before, I thought I would feel out-of-touch with the world. But, I'm happy to report that I don't. I feel good. One less thing for me to think about, to worry about.
At about the same time I deleted my Facebook, I had also left a homeschool group that I had been a part of for years. We made lots of wonderful friends in this group but the Lord said it was time to go. So, we did not renew our membership. I felt very sad about this, at first. As it turns out though, it's been a real blessing. More time freed up. Something less to think about, to worry about.
I love how the Lord shows you things when you do what He asks of you. Even when you don't think any good will come out of it, or maybe it just makes you sad. He knows though. If we just follow Him, even when it seems silly, or unimportant, He will show us things we never thought we would see. Our eyes will be opened to His will for us, if only we follow His direction, when He asks it of us.
I praise God for His mighty works, for His mighty ways. Ways that I just don't understand sometimes. Thankfully though, He shows us, if we just follow Him.

So, a week, or so ago, I had a post about the 180 movie that had just come out. It was very well done and astonishing. I really liked how Mr. Comfort paralleled Hitler's holocaust with the holocaust going on right here in America through legalized abortion. What Hitler was doing in his day was legal but that did NOT make it right. And the same goes for legalized abortion. It may be legal but it is NOT right. Thousands upon thousands of innocent babies are being murdered, and most people think that it is okay! It is absolutely heart-breaking! Thankfully though, those sweet little innocent ones are now resting peacefully.
I wanted to make mention of something else though. I had mentioned in my previous post about how Hitler was a Catholic. Well, I had mentioned some quotes of Hitler in the comments section but yesterday I came across this video about Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church. I did not search out this video. I found out a brother in Christ had a YouTube channel, so I decided to check it out. And I found this video pretty informative, and worthy to share...
I don't share this because I hate Catholics. I don't hate them, I love them. Just as I love ALL people, from ALL religions. The Lord wants history to be known, so that the bad stuff is not repeated. He wants His Truth to be learned by ALL people. If people would just heed His council in the Bible, the world would be a very different place!
Pictures don't lie. Pictures speak volumes. God's people should NOT be shaking hands with Hitler, or his soldiers. God's people should NOT be getting Hitler's autograph! God's people should NOT be saluting Hitler. God's people SHOULD be searching His Holy Word for Truth. Only His Word. No man should add their interpretation to the Bible. Why does one need to? The Bible defines itself perfectly!

I pray everyone, everywhere finds the Lord's Perfect Truth. Sadly though, some will find it but will turn their feet from it. And the Lord tells us in His infallible Word , "And for this cause God shall send them strongdelusion, that they should believe a lie:" -2 Thessalonians 2:11.
God is so big, we can't even imagine!!! Isn't it amazing that the God of the universe loves us, and care for us? It is so hard for me to understand why He cares about me. I have to realize that that is how BIG He is! He is so big that He cares about even me, a lowly sinner. WOW!!
