Yesterday I watched the movie "180", by Ray Comfort from Living Waters. All I can say is, WOW! If you haven't watched it yet, I recommend that you do. It was so sad at the beginning when people were asked if they knew who Adolf Hitler was, and they had no clue. The Holocaust was not that long ago, and people are too busy with nonsense to learn history. My children will not be like this. They will know our world's past. It is so very important.
Like I said, I do recommend the video. I just want to point out a few things that I thought are just as important to mention, that were not. It's true Hitler hated the Jews, and Christians. But, it didn't mention that Hitler was a Catholic. Here is Hitler and the Pope shaking hands.
Interesting.
I'm guessing that wasn't really impertinent information for the message that was trying to be put across in the video. And, I get that. I just wanted to point that out. Also, when Mr.Comfort is talking about the Ten Commandments, and how the people are breaking them, he never once talks about the 4th Commandment. You know, the one that God specifically tells us to REMEMBER. The one and *only* commandment that men have thought to change (Daniel 7:25). Even though we are told by Jesus that He has not come to destroy the Law but to fulfill the Law (Matthew 5:17). And, we are to do as Jesus did. Which, by the way, He kept ALL of His Father's Commandments. Including the 7th day Sabbath.
Interesting.
So yeah, great movie to watch and share. People really do need to be aware of the Holocaust going on right now. I just wanted to point out those other things as well because they popped into my mind while I was watching it.

Hitler wasn't actually Catholic. He was raised in a Catholic home, but did not practice Catholicism. He was pretty much an atheist, at most an agnostic, who used religious jargon to manipulate the masses (creating an "Aryan" Jesus even) . And the Catholic church didn't support Hitler from what I have been able to read, but rather maintained a stance of neutrality and was even involved in underground networks to take Jewish people into hiding. There are even newspaper reports from the 1930's and 40's documenting Nazi attacks against Catholic priests and nuns, and the Catholic community in Germany. If you have other resources proving otherwise, I'd love to know what they are and look into it myself.
ReplyDeleteAnd I will say I agree that Jesus came to fulfill the law. I guess we just differ in our thinking of what they means, haha.
Kelli, I came from a Catholic family. Growing up we never attended church but I still considered myself a Catholic until I found Jesus. Most people who grew up in a Catholic home, consider themselves Catholic whether or not they actual practice it. People believe that they are 'born' Catholic. The research my husband and I have done has shown that the Pope helped Hitler. Yes, you have to dig but it's there. It's all in prophecy also. The book of Daniel and Revelation go hand in hand. The prophecies have been opened for all of us to read and understand. So, DIG IN! =]
ReplyDeleteOkay, I need to edit my previous comment. When I said, "It's all in prophecy also.", I am incorrect. Hitler and the holocaust is not in prophecy. The popes, yes. Hitler, no. My bad! There is SO much information in my head, that sometimes I get certain events mixed up. Please forgive me!
ReplyDeleteA few quotes from Adolf Hitler:
ReplyDelete"I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so"
"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."
"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."
"The victor will never be asked if he told the truth."
"As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."
"Humanitarianism is the expression of stupidity and cowardice."
"According to Hitler's chief architect Albert Speer, Hitler remained a formal member of the Catholic Church until his death.." ---Wikipedia
ReplyDelete"ccording to biographer John Toland, Hitler was still "a member in good standing of the Church of Rome despite his detestation of its hierarchy, he carried within himself its teaching that the Jew was the killer of God. The extermination, therefore, could be done without a twinge of conscience since he was merely acting as the avenging hand of God — so long as it was done impersonally, without cruelty." ---Wikipedia
