"He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure." Isaiah 33:16

The First Angel's Message: The Everlasting Gospel
This is a great video that I just had to share! (I'm not sure about when the video maker uses the term YHWH, but other than that, great video!)
God's True Church
The past several weeks we have had a guest speaker, Brother Rob from Light Ministries. It has been amazing so far! It has really opened my eyes to a lot of different things. I always knew some of it but heard it in a different light when he spoke it. There have been 3 parts so far, and I am looking forward to part 4! I really really want to share this sermon series with each of you but, it hasn't been made into a video just yet! I will post it s soon s it is available though. I do have the audio but can't figure out how to put it on here. =/
Br Rob teaches straight from the Bible. He doesn't add his own interpretations. He shares what/who God's true Biblical church is. It's not a denomination, just in case you're thinking, "Oh, she's going to say it's her church." God's true church is made up of those "who love the Lord and keep His commandments". (See Ecc 12:13, Dan 9:4, John 14:15, John 15:10, 1 John 2:3, 1 John 5:2, 1 John 5:3, Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12, and many others!)
There are thousands of denominations of Christian churches out there. Thousands!! All of them claiming to be God's true church. All of them mixing Truth with error. Denominations = confusion = Babylon. I don't mean to be rash here. Nor am I trying to be rude. I'm just stating the facts. I love each one of my brothers and sisters in Christ! Regardless of the denomination they choose to attend. As for me, I choose not to attend any denomination. Yes, I attend a church... online. And yes, it does have a name. But we don't attach ourselves to any denomination.
As soon as I figure out how to share the audio, I will pot it in a new blog post! Until then, keep your eyes turned to the Lord friends!

Head Coverings & Hair Cuts
I have decided to no longer cover my head. It was becoming a hindrance in my walk with the Lord. I can't really explain the why's and how's. The past several months of wearing it have been oddly different. Not necessarily bad but not really good either. When I didn't wear it I felt more like myself compared to when I did wear it, I felt like a stranger. Now, I'm not usually one to make decisions based on feelings. I don't think our walk with the Lord should be all about that. But, I know that this decision is the right one for me.
A few weeks after my decision to not cover my head, I got a new hair cut. I really like it! I feel like me again. A dear friend of mine actually suggested the cut and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So, I decided to just do it. She even came with me to the salon to get it cut. I needed her there to make sure it was cut correctly. I decided to go short. And, in the heat we've been having here, the back of my neck thanks me! Lol!
So, there you have it. After several months of head covering I'm back to not wearing one. It was an experience and I am glad I gave it a try. I am also glad that the Lord loves me for the person I am right now. And that He is creating me into the person He wants me to become. This life is not about what we want, it's about what He wants. He created us and knows what's best for each one of us. I pray that we all listen to Him, not our sinful selves!

On my mind....
What a week! A fun week that just flew by. I can hardly believe that it's Friday! I know that in the past I was doing 'Quick Takes Friday', well I've decided to step away from that. Although, today I am going to give you a list. Just not necessarily a list of what's been going on this past week. It's more like a list of what's been on my mind lately. Lately being yesterday, this past week, past month... well, you get the idea. There has been so many things I've wanted to blog about but just haven't had the time! And, less time is coming my way when our homeschool year officially starts. (Which, by the way, I haven't set a start day yet. Ha! Go me!)
So, here's what's been on my mind...
1. 501(c)(3) - Sounds like such a great idea. You get this nifty little thing and now your group doesn't have to pay those little taxes anymore. You get to save some money. Good idea, right? I don't so much agree. So, great, now you're saving some money but you now have the government nosing in where it doesn't belong! Aargh!!! I think the government has already stuck it's nose in way too many places. Why must we invite them into our organizations as well?? No thank you!
2. Evolution - I don't believe in evolution. I believe in the Bible. Now, I do know that some people believe that God used evolution in His creation plan. But, that goes against God's Word. He said that in 6 days He made the world, and on the 7th day He rested. Some will argue that they weren't 6 literal days but millions of years. Ok, that's fine if you want to believe that. I'm certainly not going to tell you what to believe. BUT, here's my question - Where is all of the evidence for evolution? If we evolved from a rock, where are all of the fossils proving this? I'm just saying... You know I still love you even you believe this theory of evolution. =)
3. Kent Hovind - Speaking about evolution, there's this guy, Kent Hovind, who has some videos on YouTube where he debates evolutionists. He brings up some great points. I highly recommend checking him out. He also has lots of great info on dinosaurs too. Our family has listened to many, many of his lectures. He always points you back to the Bible. Which, by the way, is the inspired Word of God. Yes, it was written by men. But, it was inspired by God! Ultimately, those are His Words on those pages in the Holy Bible. And yes, I'm still loving anyone who doesn't believe this!
4. The Homeschool Year - I've been putting this off! Well, not entirely. But, the planning isn't happening like it should be. I don't know, maybe I like what we've been doing. No need to change something if it works, right?
5. Sewing - I really enjoy sewing!! This may have taken precedence to the whole plan the school year thing above. Just maybe! Ha ha! Not really. But my tiny little shop has been getting some orders, and I like it! I'm kind of amazed that so many people actually WANT to buy the stuff I made! It's so cool!
And now, the kids are up. So, there goes any, and all, of my thought processes. =) I love them though! Have a blessed weekend friends!

People, Get Ready!
A while back I wrote a post about following Christ's lead. That when I am convicted by the Holy Spirit, I will follow through. Sadly, the follow through hasn't been what it should be. I won't dwell on my failure though. I'm going to pick right back up and follow His lead. I've felt Him asking me, no, telling me, to hand out a booklet titled People, Get Ready! I bought a new ink cartridge, even a binding machine to put it all together nicely. And then, there was no follow through. Until now anyway.
I gave out the first copy of that booklet today. I plan to give out one to anyone who wants one. I was a little anxious about it. It's not a popular message. But, it's one that the Lord declares we should share. It's loaded with Prophetic Bible passages. Some of which have already come to pass, and most people don't even know it. It's full of history and prophecy. A great read for all! The anxiousness I felt, well, I know where it came from, and it wasn't from my Father in heaven. Our enemy, the Devil, is always trying to make us feel anxious, scared, or worried about what others will think of us. But, we must remember that the spirit of fear does NOT come from the Lord. He gives us strength, courage and hope! We MUST carry out His message, even if it makes us feel uncomfortable. After all, when Jesus walked this very earth 2000 years ago, His life was full of discomfort. But, He kept in prayer to His Father, and He was carried through.
I am thankful for that. That we have a loving Father watching down on us, lifting us up in our times of need. Just because our message may not be popular, or main stream, that doesn't mean we don't share it with the world. His Gospel message needs to be sent out. All people need to be warned of what's to come. Thank you Jesus for suffering death on the cross, rising again, and ascending into heaven to be our advocate.
If you would like a copy of the booklet People, Get Ready!, please leave me a comment with your mailing address and I will get one to you. I will NOT publish your personal information on the blog. I will simply send you the booklet and delete your personal info. You have my word!

What Do I Believe?
For some reason people are confused about what 'denomination' I am. I think really they're just unsure of what I believe. I've had 2 people in the past 2 months think that I was Mormon. I'm not. I'm not to keen on denominations. We're all the body of Christ, why must we all put ourselves in these different subgroups? I don't believe that is what Christ wanted. We should all be working together for God's glory.
I am a Bible believing Christian. The only doctrine I follow has to be Biblically sound. I do not follow man's teachings and traditions just because "that's how it's always been". Men are fallible but God is infallible. I believe that the Ten Commandments are still valid today. Without them, how will we know wrong from right? I do not believe that God has changed ANY of His Commandments. He wrote them with His own finger, in stone. That is how important they are. I also believe that the only way we can keep His Commandments is with His help. It is not in our own merit, but His. I keep the Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset), God's Holy day. The day that He sanctified in the beginning, and wrote with His finger on the first tablet of stone at Mt. Sinai. I believe that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. If we keep the Ten Commandments, then we do this. The first 4 Commandments is how we can show our love to God, and the last 6 are how we show love to our fellow man. I believe that we should all study prophecy. It is very relevant for us today. I believe we are living in the end times. But, I also know that no one knows the day or the hour.
I hope that kind of clears things up. I'm going to leave you with this video. Please know that I share this out of love. I do not mean to upset, or hurt anyone's feelings. As I told you before, I do not follow man's teachings and traditions just because "that's how it's always been done". Truth is Truth. I pray you are blessed by this video.

Blogging Time, Where Are You?
There is so much I would like to blog about but I just haven't had the time (quiet time that is), to sit down and do it. There have been so many things distracting me lately. My focus has been here, there, everywhere! I miss my friend terribly. Daily, my thoughts refer to him. Oh, so many questions unanswered. But, I serve a God that is bigger than all of those unanswered questions. He gives me comfort during all of those times. Let me just say this, make sure all of your loved ones know that you love them, without any doubt. Hug them, pray with them, pray for them, be there when they need to talk and just listen. Life is so precious, and so short. I praise the Lord for all of the amazing people He has placed in my life. I truly am blessed by each one.
